In February 2018 I was awarded the Fellowship of the HEA [Higher Education Authority]
This was in recognition of my application that exemplified a “virtuous cycle”, from operational responsibility, carrying out practical and academic studies to collect evidence and engage with a full range of stakeholders, to shaping policy and operational decisions, and seeing implemented with lessons learned to disseminate.
The panel stated “It is great to see pedagogic theories and principles successfully injected into design which foregrounds both lecturer and especially student needs”
Overall, the panel felt I had provided evidence as a committed member of staff making a significant contribution to learning.
