Together with Ollie Ireson, I designed this space with the aim of improving the experience for students, creating a quality environment and maintaining the capacity.
I wanted a contemporary lounge atmosphere with zones for students and staff to engage with however they wanted. Cafe, sofas, PC’s, group study, single distraction free furniture and areas for more social activity. I think we succeeded.
A signature piece of furniture is the oak table, rekindling the idea of home and the kitchen table that accomodates a variety of uses
