University of Liverpool

While attending the Open Day at the university I managed to take a look at the open access facilities for students in two of the main libraries.

The uplighters were similar in design to those at Sheffield University.

These are a different take on the typical tub or bucket chairs often placed in reception areas of libraries.

This is the reference section of the library, it was quiet this Saturday afternoon. I didn’t see any mains for laptops near the sofas.

This space was interesting, not quite finished but providing an alternative environment for students.

This area was locked but fits the part of a classic silent study area in the library.

Lastly, an open access IT area within the library block.
