I visited Durham briefly in September and managed a quick look at the impressive new Calman Learning Centre which has three large lecture theatres. I noticed that outside there were breakout areas of seating which allowed for laptops to be connected so that students could continue top work after the lecture. On another floor, laptops were secured to tables for group work. There is also a new cafe on the ground floor.
